Pricing Plans

Both platforms offer different pricing plans to suit different needs and budgets. Here's a breakdown of the pricing plans:

  • ClickDesigns • The Standard Plan is $99 per month.
  • • Pro plan which is normally $1,188 and is billed yearly.

Note: There is a 30 Day + 14 days Free Trial (44 days) unconditional 100% money back guarantee.

  • CanvaCanva Free - is Free per month but is a limited featured version of the product. It’s not a trial with an end date. This is a really good way to check out the basic features of the platform before upgrading. There is also the opportunity to try the Canva Pro version for a month and you can then upgrade or revert to Canva Free.

• Canva Pro – is £10.99 per month for one person only or £99.99 per year Saving 16%.
• Canva for Teams is £12.99 per month from when the 2nd person joins your team and up to the first 5 people. Or £129.90 per year for the first 5 people again saving £16%.

Note: There are also options for Primary and Secondary Teachers and their students which are 100% free where you need to get verified. We won’t be discussing this further in this blog but it is worthy of a mention. Canva Pro is also available to non-profits for Free upon application.

Overall, both platforms are great options for businesses looking for an easy way to design professional graphics. ClickDesigns offers more advanced features, but Canva is better suited for beginners who don't have the skillset for detailed design work. Depending on what your needs are, either platform can be a great choice at the right price point.

Template Options

Whether you're a professional designer or just starting out, both ClickDesigns and Canva offer plenty of options to create stunning designs with their wide variety of pre-designed templates.

ClickDesigns offers more than 160,000+ fonts and large images or graphic elements that make it easier to work with typography and graphical elements. It also provides mockup bundle templates which allow users to create detailed mockups for print and web projects. Additionally, ClickDesigns has advanced features that enable creating interactive designs and animations. The templates are grouped at the top for ease of searching eg Logos, Boxshots, Covers, Sheets, Devices, Mockups, Bundles, Illustrations, Annotations, Backgrounds, Funnels, Marketing and Thumbnails. Or you can create your own item from scratch if you need to.

On the other hand, Canva provides different types of fonts as well as small image elements along with many readymade templates for users who are not very good at designing graphics. It makes it easy for anyone to produce professional-looking mockups with its vast selection of pre-made templates. Canva is mainly used for making static designs for print media or digital platforms. Canva templates are grouped so it is easy to find templates eg Docs, Whiteboards, Presentations, Social Media, Videos, Print Products, Website and more (like Infographic, Photo Collage, Desktop Wallpaper, Graph, Book Cover, Mind Map, Zoom Virtual Background, Calendar and more! Again you can create your own item from scratch if you need to.

If you are looking for an extensive range of template capabilities both ClickDesigns and Canva are good options. The type of templates are different so it depends what you want to create. ClickDesigns is more Digital Marketing orientated with templates for sales funnels (all designed by expert marketer designers) to help get more clicks, leads and sales conversions.

Storage Options

If you're looking to store your designs, both ClickDesigns and Canva have great options for you. ClickDesigns offers unlimited storage so that you can save as many designs as you want without worrying about running out of space. You can also save different versions of the same design and access it from anywhere with an internet connection.

Canva, on the other hand, offers limited storage in their free plan (5GB) but more options in their paid plans such as increased storage capacity (1TB) and additional features like the ability to collaborate with others on designs.

With both ClickDesigns and Canva, you can also add images from external sources or upload them directly into your account for later use.

When it comes to sharing and collaborating on designs, both services allow users to share their work easily via email or social media platforms. However, ClickDesigns provides more advanced options like password-protected galleries or private portfolios that are only accessible to invited members. This allows users to keep control over who has access to their work while simultaneously giving team members the ability to collaborate more efficiently on projects.

Overall, both ClickDesigns and Canva provide excellent storage solutions no matter what kind of project you're working on or how much space you need for it. Depending on your needs and budget, either could be a great option for storing digital artwork safely and securely online for long-term use or collaboration with others.

Design Elements

No matter your design needs, you'll be able to find the right elements with ClickDesigns and Canva.

With ClickDesigns once you have chosen a template all the elements on it are fully customizable by just clicking on them. They can be moved, deleted, resized and it is easy to add the image to the eg the bundle mockups by just clicking on the item eg a book, mobile phone, desktop, done! The colours, fonts, background etc can all be changed. The Brand Kit is helpful in keeping track of your businesses Logo, Brand colours and fonts so you don’t have to keep reinputting them. There are also tutorials available to help you get the most out of their designs.

Canva is very similar in design options to ClickDesigns being able to move, delete, resize, change colour and fonts of the elements. The downside to Canva Free is that it has limited features. Although there are hundreds of templates not all of them are available on this Plan and many are only available on the Pro plan which you can spot by the Crown icon. It can get a bit frustrating when you find a template which is just what you want but you would have to upgrade to use it! You can’t resize any templates which can also be frustrating or remove the background. If you just stick to changing the template then it is fine and much quicker than creating from scratch! Canva also has a useful Help Centre.

The Canva Pro Plan really is a big step up in features from the Canva Free Plan but very reasonably priced. All the previously mentioned frustrations are gone. The additional Content Planner feature allows you to schedule and publish to 8 Social Media platforms, which is great and could be game changing for your business.

Both ClickDesigns and Canva are great apps for creating graphics. Canva has lower price points with the Canva Pro being £10.99 per month for one user or £12.99 per month for up to 5 users (the annual 16% discount is also attractive to reduce costs further). ClickDesigns while more expensive at $99 per month is designed by Marketers to get more Clicks, Leads and Sales Conversions so if your business has the budget the extra cost could be well worth it.

Ultimately, it comes down to what features you need and how much money you're willing to spend. Both offer great templates, feature set, design elements and storage options. Either tool can help you create stunning designs quickly and easily.

TIP: If you have NEVER used a graphics app before why not start out with Canva Free and get your head around how things work as there is some learning curve involved and then try the 44 day trial with ClickDesigns (there is a 30+14 Day No Quibble Money Back Guarantee). You can then compare them and select which meets your requirements best.
